We are seeking a highly skilled Laundry Attendant to join our team at The Equinox Resort. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper washing, drying, and storage of laundry to maintain the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washing and drying machines, to ensure efficient and effective processing of laundry.
- Monitor and control the use of laundry chemicals and cleaning agents to maintain optimal results and prevent damage to equipment and linens.
- Sort and separate laundry according to classification and type, and transport it to designated workstations for processing.
- Operate folding equipment to fold and prepare linens for storage and distribution.
- Identify and separate laundry requiring special attention, such as mending or stain removal.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the laundry area and surrounding spaces.
- Stock and replenish linen supplies as needed to ensure adequate inventory levels.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in laundry operations preferred.
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time, with the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Basic knowledge of laundry chemicals and cleaning agents, and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The Laundry Attendant will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to laundry equipment and chemicals. The ability to work in a team environment and maintain a high level of productivity is essential.
