Job Summary

We are seeking experienced game developers to contribute to the development and maintenance of lightweight clients and systems within Unreal Engine. This role involves interfacing with hardware, streaming data, cloud deployments, virtual production, and custom development for virtual reality, ensuring a diverse and engaging workload.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop core tools and pipelines
  • Expand existing gameplay and AI systems
  • Develop in-engine simulation tools
  • Create and maintain optimized modules for virtual production tools utilizing game engines, along with UI and I/O modules
  • Contribute to the development of innovative gameplay mechanics and experiences for new virtual reality projects
  • Lead the development path for creative solutions within the overall development pipeline and for individual projects
  • Actively participate in technical and artistic discussions and problem-solving
  • Manage Perforce administration

Critical Skills

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, 3D Math, linear algebra, vector math, and associated data structures
  • Expert knowledge of Unreal Engine, including GUI, packaging, materials/shaders
  • In-depth knowledge of 3D graphics development (Particle Systems, Shaders) and performance optimization within game development
  • Strong grasp of matrix algebra, trigonometry, and computational geometry
  • Proficiency in C++ is essential
  • Ability to implement existing script and/or visual scripting modules into optimized and efficient code within Unreal
  • A keen sense for creating and maintaining accessible and modular codebases
  • Strong understanding of version control systems such as Perforce
  • Familiarity with Python tool development is advantageous
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with high-profile directors, VFX supervisors, and production designers
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, along with a comprehension of production values, deadlines, and priorities
