PayerFusion Holdings LLC is seeking a skilled Health Insurance Policy Writer to join our team. As a Policy Writer, you will be responsible for crafting and reviewing health insurance policies that meet the highest standards of clarity, comprehensiveness, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and Revise Policy Documents: Develop and refine health insurance policy documents, including terms, conditions, coverage limits, and exclusions, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with underwriters, actuaries, legal teams, and product managers to gather necessary information and ensure policy language is clear, precise, and legally sound.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Maintain knowledge of market trends, product demands, and regulatory changes to update policy documents accordingly.
- Develop New Health Insurance Products: Assist in creating initial policy drafts for new health insurance products, ensuring they meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Review and Edit Policy Documents: Review and edit policy documents for consistency, clarity, and accuracy, ensuring they meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate with Stakeholders: Communicate with internal stakeholders to understand policy requirements and address any concerns, ensuring seamless policy implementation.
- Support Audits and Compliance: Provide support during internal and external audits of policy documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Health Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Experience in technical writing, legal writing, or a similar role, with a strong understanding of health insurance products and terminology.
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the role of Policy Writer or Underwriter, with a strong understanding of international health insurance plans (IPMI or PPO plans) and knowledge of ACA requirements.
