Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians and clinicians with patient care duties, including exams and procedures, to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
  • Record patient data, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes, prior to each physician visit.
  • Obtain necessary patient records and schedule tests, procedures, and hospital admissions as required.
  • Arrange for pre-authorizations and pre-certifications as needed.
  • Perform other administrative duties as requested by supervisor or physician.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a multi-physician practice, preferably with a certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants.
  • Ability to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of the profession and industry.
  • CMA certification strongly preferred.
