Job Title: Warehouse Pharmacy Technician

As a Warehouse Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of medication and supplies to patient homes, ambulatory infusion suites, or other sites of service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with courier services, understanding their operations and protocols.
  • Manage and maintain assigned vehicles in a clean and orderly condition, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations, as well as HIPAA and ACHC standards.
  • Compounds sterile preparations as needed, adhering to strict quality control measures.
  • Checks final products for particulate matter and container integrity prior to presentation to the pharmacist for final check.
  • Labels compounded sterile preparations when state regulations permit.
  • Picks and packs supplies, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery.
  • Develops efficient territory management and delivery zones, coordinating with customer service and Pharmacy to facilitate timely processing of delivery tickets and compounding documents.
  • Utilizes delivery and warehouse best practices, maintaining a safe work environment and tracking cost per delivery.
  • Assists in orienting new warehouse team members and participates in inventory count processes.
  • Maintains warehouse in a safe manner, facilitating efficient workflow processes and stocking of inventory.
  • Assembles and prepares patient deliveries, receives and stocks incoming orders, and performs routine maintenance, testing, and cleaning of returned equipment.
  • Performs inventory control on products, rotating stock as necessary and notifying appropriate personnel of stock shortages in a timely manner.
  • Accurately compiles ordered medication, supplies, equipment, and associated documentation in preparation for delivery, obtaining supervisory cross-check of accuracy of compiled order.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company standards.
  • Meets all state requirements for a Pharmacy Technician, which may include registration, licensure, or certification.
  • Knowledge of geography serviced by the Pharmacy, traffic patterns, and drive times.
  • Understanding of all service options and delivery time commitments.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards and requirements.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with branch departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • One (1) year experience in Warehouse/Distribution/Inventory and Healthcare preferred.
