Job Description:THE BOYD GROUP - AUTO BODY REPAIRCOMPENSATION RANGES FROM $90,000 TO $150,000 (Based on experience and location)

The Collision Repair Specialist is primarily responsible for delivering an outstanding customer experience through the careful evaluation and quality restoration of vehicles to their pre-accident state. This role involves the thorough disassembly, repair, and reassembly of vehicles, playing a crucial part in our commitment to speed, quality, and customer satisfaction. The Collision Repair Specialist collaborates with team members to meet the facility's performance indicators and serves as a dedicated representative of The Boyd Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consistently implement the WOW (Wow Operating Way) strategy.
  • Assess repair needs and prepare cost estimates for clients. Utilize various tools such as cutting equipment, hydraulic jacks, and hand tools to execute repairs.
  • Address minor body damage through techniques such as hammering and applying filler resins when necessary.
  • Realign vehicle frames and chassis to rectify structural issues.
  • Remove damaged vehicle sections and replace them with new or aftermarket components. Repair or replace glass and windshields as required.
  • Replace or repair interior components as necessary.
  • Weld and fit parts into place, and prepare and repaint vehicles using factory-specified paint or approved alternatives.
  • Aim to complete work orders within designated labor timeframes. Conduct inspections post-repair to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to interpret job orders and work independently.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other technicians in an auto body environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of vehicle body repair methods and procedures.
  • Proficient in the use of tools necessary for the trade.

Other Requirements

  • Must be able to work safely in a noisy environment with various odors.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 30 pounds as needed.
  • Must be able to visually assess vehicle damage in different weather conditions.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
