Job Summary:

The Custodian 2 is responsible for performing a variety of custodial tasks to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of our buildings. This includes daily duties such as dusting, emptying wastebaskets, and sweeping floors, as well as weekly tasks like buffing, high dusting, and carpet spotting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily custodial duties in assigned areas, including dusting, emptying wastebaskets, and sweeping floors.
  • Assist with the supervision and training of part-time, temporary custodial staff.
  • Perform weekly custodial duties, including buffing, high dusting, and carpet spotting.
  • Respond to office and staff requests, including setting up equipment and supplies.
  • Report building maintenance needs and supplies to the Building Custodial Supervisor.
  • Secure the building by checking windows, doors, and lights before leaving.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Completion of Proficiency of Custodial Operations certificate preferred.
Working Conditions:

The Custodian 2 will work in a standard office and school building environment, with occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals, solvents, and contaminated trash. The ability to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions is also required.
