Job Overview:

Prairie Farms Dairy, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will have a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $55,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits package.

This role involves managing the shipment of all products, preparing and processing outgoing shipments, verifying and recording shipping information, and ensuring that all shipments are accurately and efficiently dispatched.

Responsibilities:
  • Arrange for transportation, schedule deliveries, and prepare all necessary shipping documentation.
  • Inspect and verify the quantity and quality of items being shipped, compare identifying information and counts, weigh or measure items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory and stock, monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure that shipments are accurate and timely, update Share Drive & Tracker reports, complete Add/ Cut Reports.
  • Communicate with customers regarding shipping issues or discrepancies, resolve customer complaints and answer inquiries about shipping policies and procedures, input & invoice customer orders, receive PO's and inbound shipments, communicate with sales and delivery, cooler department and others as needed.
Requirements:

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, prior experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field, familiarity with shipping software, logistics management, and carrier systems, strong attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to work independently and manage time effectively, proficiency in using computers and shipping-related software, excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
