Physician Associate/Nurse Practitioner

Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to provide primary care medical services to our patients. As a key member of our medical team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, culturally sensitive healthcare to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including obstetrics, family planning, newborn care, pediatrics, and general adult care.
- Meet minimum patient care productivity requirements to ensure timely patient access and continuity of care.
- Participate in case management, including patient education, medication management, and referrals.
- Provide day-to-day supervision of support staff and assist in organizing special clinics, such as the migrant camp program.
- Collaborate with the medical team to implement plans and goals established by the QA/QI committee and the Center's managed care plans.
Requirements
- Completion of a family nurse practitioner or physician assistant training program approved by the State of Oregon.
- Licensure by the State of Oregon Board of Nursing or Board of Medical Examiners and DEA registration.
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred, with a willingness to become sufficiently competent in Spanish to provide medical care.

Our health center is a well-lighted, ventilated environment, with exposure to blood-borne pathogens and potentially hazardous chemicals. You will have access to a range of medical equipment, including stethoscopes, ophthalmoscopes, and surgical/procedural instruments.
