Key Responsibilities

As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for executing essential tasks and demonstrating expertise in the electrical domain to ensure optimal property maintenance.

Core Duties Include:

  • Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures using both hand and power tools.
  • Conducting inspections of electrical systems and components to identify potential hazards, defects, and necessary repairs, ensuring compliance with relevant codes.
  • Connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of commercial electrical systems preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in using testing equipment such as ammeters, ohmmeters, voltmeters, and testing lamps.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand the operation of main switchgear, distribution systems, and emergency transfer switches.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong communication skills and a safety-conscious mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team to achieve departmental objectives.

Work Environment:

  • Work is primarily conducted in the back-of-house areas of the casino, which can be fast-paced and noisy. Occasional exposure to the casino floor may occur, where environmental factors such as secondhand smoke and high noise levels are present.
  • Employees are frequently required to stand, walk, use hands for various tasks, and engage in activities requiring specific vision capabilities.

Native American Preference Policy:

In alignment with our Tribal Council policies, we prioritize Native American candidates in all employment practices, providing first preference to members of the Seminole Tribe, followed by members of other federally recognized tribes.

Employment Process:

All candidates must successfully complete a background check to obtain gaming licensure before commencing employment. This process may include credit checks, criminal background checks, and drug screenings.
