Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

Accountable for ensuring guest satisfaction through the efficient handling of all monetary transactions, both cash and credit, in a professional manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Fosters and sustains positive relationships with guests.
  2. Welcomes all patrons upon entry and expresses gratitude as they depart.
  3. Complies with company protocols regarding cash management.
  4. Calculates guest totals swiftly and accurately.
  5. Provides prompt service to both guests and colleagues.
  6. Maintains proper service techniques.
  7. Adheres to health regulations and safety standards.
  8. Completes assigned setup, closing tasks, and side duties.
  9. Keeps the workspace and establishment orderly and well-maintained.
  10. Stays informed about all events occurring within the property.
  11. Participates in all mandatory meetings and training sessions.
  12. Upholds confidentiality at all times.
  13. Demonstrates sensitivity to Native American culture.
  14. Operates in accordance with the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual, Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all relevant regulations.
  15. Safeguards the assets of Leech Lake Market and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
  16. Performs additional duties as required.
Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

To excel in this role, an individual must successfully perform each essential duty. The following requirements are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities necessary.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Must exhibit dependability and reliability.
  2. Must possess the ability to engage with the public effectively.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Must be capable of lifting at least 10 pounds.
  2. Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  3. Subject to internal working conditions.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Education Required: None

Education Preferred: High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency (GED).

Experience: Previous experience in cash handling is preferred but not mandatory.
Computer Skills: Strong computer proficiency is required.

Certificates & Licenses: Must fulfill Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass a criminal background check, and undergo drug testing.
