Mammography Technologist Job Summary

The Mammography Technologist is responsible for operating radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images of breast tissue for diagnostic purposes. This role requires a strong understanding of radiologic principles and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collects and verifies patient information and procedure details
  • Operates radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images
  • Ensures proper screening protocols are followed
  • Provides patient education and support
  • Documents patient information and exam results
Requirements:
  • Completion of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology Program
  • Current Registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Act 34-PA Criminal Record Check
Work Environment:

The Mammography Technologist will work in a fast-paced radiology department, interacting with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to work accurately and efficiently in a dynamic environment.
