Quality Inspector Job Description

The Quality Inspector is a critical role within the Carolina Components Group, responsible for ensuring that all processes, materials, and assemblies meet customer specifications, ISO 9001, cGMP, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and inspect assigned orders through the Quality Department prior to shipment to customers, adhering to applicable procedures and customer specifications.
  • Perform and document inspection activities for incoming products, internally built assemblies, outgoing products, and other inspections as needed.
  • Conduct incoming material inspection, labeling, and release for placement into inventory, ensuring accurate and compliant entries.
  • Maintain daily work schedules in coordination with Operations and Manufacturing personnel, ensuring seamless production flow.
  • Collaborate with Inventory Management to stage incoming material for inspection, preventing mixing of unreleased and released product.
  • Review and approve various logbooks/forms for accuracy and compliant entries, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Identify, contain, and document non-conforming materials, including internal non-conforming events, supplier corrective actions, and investigations.
  • Maintain proper segregation, documentation, and inventory of Quarantined materials.
  • Implement Quality improvement initiatives to enhance processes and reduce defects.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement)
  • Associate degree (preferred)
Desired Experience:
  • 0-2 Years Quality Assurance Experience
  • 1-2 Years Pharmaceutical/Biotech Manufacturing experience
  • Acumatica (ERP) experience
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills a must
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
