Our esteemed client, TAG MedStaffing, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join their team in Des Moines, IA. As a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to mothers and their newborns during labor and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough assessments of mothers and infants, monitoring vital signs and fetal heart rates to ensure their well-being.
- Provide emotional and physical support to mothers throughout labor, assisting with pain management techniques and encouraging positive birth experiences.
- Collaborate with obstetricians and midwives during delivery, ensuring a safe environment and handling any complications that may arise.
- Offer postpartum care to new mothers, educating them on newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery processes.
- Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses to ensure seamless communication among healthcare providers.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery Nursing.
- Current BLS and NRP certifications.
- Proficiency in labor and delivery procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
What We Offer:
A competitive hourly rate of $49 - $50, a night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, and the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
