Position Summary:
We are seeking a committed and skilled Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our exceptional healthcare team. In this specialized role, you will provide critical care to patients who are seriously ill or have sustained significant injuries within our MICU department. You will receive comprehensive training to care for patients post-surgery and those recovering from severe medical events such as heart attacks or strokes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to urgent medical situations with efficiency.
- Conduct follow-up assessments for ongoing patient care.
- Perform necessary diagnostic evaluations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities and be a collaborative team player, equipped with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will be responsible for delivering tailored care to our patients.
Essential Duties:
- Continuously monitor and assess patient progress.
- Identify and respond to any changes in patient conditions.
- Provide regular updates to physicians, patients, and their families.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
- Act swiftly in medical emergencies, alerting the appropriate medical personnel.
- Attend to the needs of patients during their recovery in the MICU.
- Complete all necessary documentation prior to patient transfers.
- Maintain accurate records of patient status as per standards.
- Develop and implement effective care plans.
- Adhere to scheduled work hours and complete tasks within the designated timeframe.

Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of recent RN experience in a clinical environment.
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- American Heart Association BLS certification within two weeks of employment.
- Strong understanding of health information systems and technology.
- Demonstrated empathy and communication proficiency.
- Ability to function effectively in high-stress situations.
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, both day and night.
