OR Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced OR Supervisor to join our team at Surgical Care Affiliates. As an OR Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the Operating Room, supervising the OR staff, and ensuring a smooth operation of daily activities, quality patient care, and an efficient working environment for physicians.

• Coordinate the daily operations of the OR, including ensuring adequate surgical technologist and operating room nurses with appropriate skills are assigned to cover scheduled cases.
• Ensure necessary supplies and equipment are available, and cases start on time, adjusting rooms to keep the schedule flowing.
• Coordinate with anesthesia to keep the schedule flowing, conduct daily operating room huddles prior to the start of the schedule, and efficiently solve problems that may arise in the OR throughout the day.
• Foster positive relationships with surgeons and address their concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring surgeons' preference cards are updated and maintained accurately.
• Oversee central sterile processing, ensure quality care and patient safety is a priority, and coordinate and provide orientation for new teammates.
• Responsible for continuing education and in-services for operating room teammates, completes own continuing education and in-service programs timely, and attends and participates in team meetings.

• Active RN (nursing) license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification.
• 5 years' experience as an operating room (OR) nurse in Orthopedics and ENT.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of day-to-day OR operations.
• Current ACLS and PALS.
