Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hygiene Assistant to join our team. As a Hygiene Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our hygienists and dentists in providing top-notch patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in dentistry and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive first impression and setting the tone for a comfortable and relaxing experience.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care and identify potential issues.
  • Provide superior assistance to supported hygienists during a wide range of procedures, adhering to state dental practice acts and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
  • Assist with setting up rooms for hygiene visits, including stocking and restocking instruments and supplies.
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record-keeping, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Partner with providers and team members to follow office systems and maximize office workflow.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
