Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team in Glen Burnie, MD. As a solo driver, you will be responsible for delivering freight to various locations in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Loading and unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight as required by the customer
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
Benefits
  • $1250 or more weekly earnings
  • Weekly guarantee of $1250 per week
  • Solo miles pay: $0.75 per mile
  • Solo stops pay: $19.89 per stop
  • Per diem pay: $51.75 per night with 3 nights per month
  • Overnights for routes in Ryder's booked hotel
  • Paid training
  • Uniforms and boot allowance provided
  • Paid personal time off starts at day hours accrued in the first year

Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
