We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team at Kindred Hospital - Greensboro. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and Plan Patient Care: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Provide Advanced Life Support: Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide life-sustaining interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor and Record Vital Signs: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and record observations to inform care decisions.
- Operate Medical Equipment: Safely operate ventilators, monitors, and other medical equipment to ensure proper function and adjust settings as needed.
- Administer Medications and IV Fluids: Accurately administer medications and IV fluids to patients, taking into account their medical history and current condition.
- Provide Education and Support: Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Float to Other Units: May be required to float to other units, such as the Medical-Surgical or Tele unit, depending on facility census and patient ratios.
- Current RN License: Must have a current RN license in North Carolina or a multistate compact RN license.
- Recent Critical Care Experience: Must have recent experience working in a critical care setting, including LTACH, trach, and vent experience.
- ACLS and BLS Certifications: Must have ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association; RQI certifications will not be accepted.
