Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety First: Prioritize safety by adhering to established OSHA and company safety policies and practices.
  • Technical Expertise: Understand mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles.
  • Machinery Diagnostics and Repair: Diagnose and repair manufacturing machinery, including plastic blow molding and injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and robots.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify mechanical issues and determine corrective actions, referring to blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Installation and Assembly: Assemble, install, or repair electrical wiring, electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
  • Electrical Apparatus Maintenance: Install and repair electrical devices, such as transformers and robots.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Work directly with external vendors to order spare parts and necessary supplies.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform and assist with weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Repair air leaks in equipment.
  • EHS Inspections: Conduct or assist with weekly, monthly, and annual Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) inspections.
  • Organized Workspace: Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with GMP, Food Safety, and Food Quality regulations as required by the company, customers, and governmental agencies.
Requirements
  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a high school diploma or GED; a minimum of five (5) years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of electrical controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics, along with excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Capable of working independently, efficiently, and productively with minimal supervision.
  • Effectively communicate equipment malfunctions and corrective actions to the incoming shift and department supervisor.
  • Maintain regular communication with co-workers across all levels to uphold a high standard of customer service and respect throughout the plant.
  • Actively participate in teams focused on driving improvements in safety, quality, production, and employee relations.
  • Demonstrate a respectful and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Willingness to assist colleagues in keeping the facility and equipment clean, organized, and well-maintained.
  • Familiarity with basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must provide an advanced set of tools.
  • Able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 30 lbs.
