Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Allen Marine Inc. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong organizational and communication skills.
About the Role:
- Manage inventory levels, including purchasing, receiving, stocking, and distributing supplies to ensure smooth operations of our tours.
- Work closely with the Purchasing Office and Food & Beverage team to procure products and manage pricing.
- Process daily retail receipts from each vessel and/or crew, balancing and reconciling transactions.
- Track usage of tour supplies, maintain accurate records, and prepare periodic reports for senior management.
- Coordinate laundry services for all vessels, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Develop and maintain efficient procedural systems for supply distribution to various vessels in our fleet.
- Assist in training Passenger Service crew members on supply use and paperwork submission, monitoring performance throughout the season.
- Maintain tidy storage areas, both on-site and remote, adhering to company standards.
- Foster professional relationships with crewmembers and local vendors while executing responsibilities as a liaison.
- Collaborate with Sales & Service Manager and Charter Coordinator to meet special charter and event needs.
- Regularly report to Operations Manager to solve problems and expedite solutions.
- Supervise a team of 8-10 supply and shuttle personnel, creating shuttle schedules based on operational requirements.
- Maintain a fleet of vehicles, addressing cleanliness, operation, and reporting any concerns to management.
- Serve as a relief shuttle driver when needed.
Requirements:
- Must have prior experience with inventory control, including ordering, tracking, and stocking supplies and merchandise.
- Proficiency in computer programs such as Word and Excel is essential.
- Able to handle cash/check/cc receivables on a daily basis.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently within a team environment.
- Pass a Coast Guard pre-employment drug test and random screenings.
- Well-groomed, courteous, reliable, punctual, and self-driven.
- Requires a valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Comfortable driving a 15-passenger van.
- Able to build relationships with coworkers and vendors.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience in transportation or tourism industries is beneficial.
- At least 3 years in a similar position would be advantageous.

Work Environment:
