Tax Director

At Apex Tool Group, we're seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to lead our tax strategy and compliance efforts. This is a critical role that will oversee all aspects of federal, state, international, local, and indirect taxes.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex tax structures, ensuring compliance with ASC 740 and statutory requirements, and providing strategic guidance on tax planning and compliance.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining and enhancing our global tax structure to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Oversight of all income tax accounting and tax compliance, including federal, state, international, local, and indirect taxes.
• Management of transfer price policies and practices, as well as oversight of intercompany agreements.
• Implementation of tax policy and ensuring compliance.
• Supporting all aspects of business development efforts.
• Providing tax advice on financial and tax audits, tax incentives, shareholder activity, and income tax planning.

The successful candidate will have a BA or BS in Accounting, a minimum of 10+ years' experience in corporate income tax, and proven experience in tax strategy, planning, and compliance. They will also have excellent project management skills, adaptability, and leadership abilities.
