Position Summary:

The Building Custodian is tasked with ensuring that our office facilities are clean, organized, and well-stocked. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in various areas such as restrooms, break rooms, and common spaces. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for both employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain cleanliness and aesthetic appeal in all shared spaces, including lobbies, conference rooms, and restrooms.
  2. Regularly clean and restock bathrooms and break rooms to ensure they are well-maintained.
  3. Manage waste disposal by emptying and relining waste receptacles and recycling bins as necessary.
  4. Conduct thorough cleaning of desks and cubicles when applicable.
  5. Sanitize and clean kitchen appliances, including refrigerators and microwaves, as needed.
  6. Disinfect surfaces, countertops, and high-touch areas to promote a healthy workplace.
  7. Vacuum and spot clean carpets and mats to maintain a tidy appearance.
  8. Ensure that all glass surfaces and mirrors are cleaned and free of dust.
  9. Monitor and replenish supplies such as toiletries and paper products in restrooms and kitchens.
  10. Perform floor maintenance, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing as required.
  11. Communicate maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel to ensure prompt resolution.
  12. Dust and polish metal surfaces, including elevator doors and fixtures.
  13. Assist in inventory management for cleaning supplies and maintenance needs.
  14. Act as a backup for corporate services when necessary.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or GED and have less than one year of relevant experience. Proficiency in English is required.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions are essential. A commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment is crucial.
