Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team at Lancesoft INC. As an Oncology Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

  • Assess patients' physical and psychosocial status through interviews, health histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic studies.
  • Write prescriptions for medications, blood products, and diagnostic studies in accordance with practice protocols.
  • Determine patient eligibility for clinical trials based on findings.
  • Interpret and evaluate diagnostic study results.
  • Communicate patient care information to collaborating physicians.
  • Administer therapeutic measures and obtain specimens as prescribed.
  • Dictate follow-up letters to referring physicians with treatment summaries and plans.
  • Document patient history, admissions, progress notes, and discharge notes in a timely manner.
  • Assist in managing family dynamics and coping mechanisms during acute and chronic phases of patient care.
  • Participate in daily multi-disciplinary rounds to ensure patients receive quality care.
  • Provide on-call coverage and perform hospital rounds as needed.
  • Triage patients to determine the urgency of physician evaluation.
  • Document and report care accurately and timely using appropriate forms and records.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant program.
  • Master's degree required.
  • Certifications/Licenses:
  • APRN or PA license in the appropriate state.
  • Prescriptive privileges or eligible to apply.
  • Current certification from ANCC or ONS (AOCN-P).
  • Current BLS.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an APRN or PA, specifically in Oncology.
