Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist Lead to join our team at United Surgical Partners. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Supervise and mentor a team of surgical technologists to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient surgical procedures.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve team performance and patient outcomes.
  • Patient Care and Coordination
    • Provide direct patient care and coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient transitions.
    • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely patient information.
  • Surgical Services and Operations
    • Ensure the efficient operation of surgical services, including scheduling, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
    • Develop and implement processes to improve surgical efficiency and reduce wait times.
  • Quality Improvement and Education
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care and surgical services.
    • Develop and deliver educational programs to surgical technologists and other healthcare professionals to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or related field.
    • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
  • Experience and Skills
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Membership in Professional Organizations
    • Membership in the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) or other professional organizations.
