Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Leader to join our Kroger team. As a Department Leader, you will be responsible for leading the Coffee Kiosk team to deliver exceptional customer service, drive sales growth, and maintain a safe and clean store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service, ensuring customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated.
  • Sales and Profit Growth: Achieve sales and profit goals established for the department, monitoring and controlling all established quality assurance standards.
  • Team Leadership: Direct and supervise all functions, duties, and activities for the Coffee Kiosk team, promoting trust and respect among associates.
  • Training and Development: Assist in training and developing associates on performance of their job, participating in the performance appraisal process.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions, noting any discrepancies in inventory, and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly price changes.
  • Food Safety and Security: Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines, reinforcing safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions.
Requirements
  • Education: High school education or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, including the ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Math Skills: Knowledge of basic math.
  • Food Handlers Permit: Current food handlers permit once employed.
  • Desired Qualifications: Management experience preferred, second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing).
