Optician

Premise Health is seeking a skilled Optician to join our team in Greer, SC. As an Optician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients.

• Greets and assists patients in a timely and friendly manner.
• Answers phone calls and directs appropriately.
• Answers patient questions regarding their benefits.
• Safely operates optical machinery.
• Assists patients with materials purchases.
• Orders and dispenses spectacles according to Vision Center policies and procedures.
• Repairs spectacles as brought in by patients.
• Checks out patients and documents material sales and/or payment collection from patient on encounter forms.
• Obtains and documents vision insurance benefit authorizations for exams and materials.
• Enters information into computer in a timely manner.
• Reconciles End of Day reports.

• Licensed in state of practice.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two to three years optometric dispensary experience with a multi-line telephone system preferred.
