Role Summary

The Loan Processing Associate plays a crucial role in supporting loan officers by providing essential administrative assistance. This position involves a range of tasks aimed at facilitating the loan process, including the organization and management of loan documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

  • Manage incoming loan payments and review loan activities from the previous day to ensure accurate processing.
  • Digitally archive loan files, including promissory notes, security agreements, and financial statements, to support the loan officers effectively.
  • Handle UCC/EFS filings, including new filings, continuations, amendments, and terminations, as well as perfecting liens on vehicles and real estate.
  • Provide comprehensive support related to lending operations through various communication channels.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks, such as verifying booked loans, maintaining accounts, and generating reports.

Secondary Duties:

  • Prepare essential documentation, including pre-funding worksheets and loan input sheets, to ensure accurate loan package submissions.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of loan documents.
  • Reconcile assigned General Ledger accounts to maintain financial integrity.
  • Document loan notes on member accounts and facilitate autopay setups.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate and organized files and records.
  • Oversee the tracking and management of Titles for collateral.
  • Handle transaction reversals and similar requests efficiently.
  • Monitor insurance policies and manage the forced place insurance program.
  • Process, track, and record payments accurately.

Qualifications

  • Education: A minimum of a High School Diploma is required; a two-year degree in accounting or business management is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous banking experience is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ensure compliance with FDIC regulations and consumer protection standards during information processing.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive customer and bank financial information.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
