About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Pet Welfare Manager to join our team at the City of Burleson, TX.

This is a full-time position responsible for managing the health and welfare of animals in our shelter, including providing veterinary care, completing administrative tasks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine and relevant work experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing veterinary care to animals in our shelter
  • Completing administrative tasks related to veterinary care
  • Evaluating animal conditions and developing treatment plans

Requirements:

  • Valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record
  • Current license in good standing to practice veterinary medicine in the State of Texas
  • Current United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) License
  • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) License and/or Controlled Substance Registration Certification

Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
