Technical Program Manager III, Software Engineering, Google Cloud

About the Role:
As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You will plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle, including managing project schedules, identifying risks, and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders.
You will be equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you will manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes, and driving the technical directions of your programs.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience, and 5 years of experience in program management and cloud computing emerging technologies or related technical fields.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree, PhD, or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical related field, as well as 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects and 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, Software Infrastructure Engineering, Security, Big Data and Analytics, or Cloud Networking.
Responsibilities include providing software development and project management, cross-functional coordination, and inter/intra team communications to deliver outstanding program outcomes, working closely with Software Engineers, QA, Product Managers, and other engineering teams to get high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle, and taking responsibility for release schedules and milestones, keeping up a high velocity in a fast-paced environment.
Lead several technical programs for the Google Cloud Business, setting priorities for products and engineering, leading cross-functional teams to take products to market, ensuring success metrics are informing future efforts, and quickly fine-tuning the program as needed.
