We are seeking a skilled High Pressure Turbine Engineer to join our team at GE Aviation. As a key member of our GE9x engine development team, you will play a critical role in designing and analyzing advanced jet engine components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute design, analysis, and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate engineering work and contribute to the development of engine systems and designs.
  • Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers, ensuring proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects and/or tasks.
  • Participate in technical and program reviews, providing timely communications on significant issues or developments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in a relevant engineering position.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Fundamental understanding of turbomachinery design.
  • Previous experience in design of aviation components.
  • Proficient with Ansys and Unigraphics.
  • Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively within an organization.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Documented experience of being a self-starter with a passion for problem-solving and driving solutions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
