Position Summary: NodeFlair is seeking a dedicated SATCOM Engineer I - (SECRET CLEARANCE) to provide support for satellite communications initiatives. The selected candidate will engage in comprehensive technical evaluations and contribute to the advancement of satellite systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough technical assessments and analyses of various program activities.
  • Assist in the development of system architectures, terminal designs, waveforms, and access protocols.
  • Evaluate system performance metrics, including throughput and response times, while analyzing operational requirements.
  • Perform systems engineering assessments of satellite and terminal configurations.
  • Engage in proposal and technical evaluations for satellite communication systems.
  • Support design review processes and assess contractor designs for satellite and terminal systems.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for stakeholders.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal and external teams, including various Army organizations and industry partners.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in transmission aspects, covering modulation, coding, link budgets, radio frequency equipment, antennas, waveforms, and blockage mitigation techniques.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in engineering, testing, or a related discipline is required.

Experience: Candidates should possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience in SATCOM engineering. A Bachelor's degree may be substituted with an additional five years of relevant experience in SATCOM engineering functions.

Clearance: Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; an active United States Department of Defense Secret clearance is mandatory.
