Drake University Law School invites applications from entry-level and lateral candidates for tenure-track or tenured positions in the field of law. We are particularly interested in candidates with a demonstrated interest or experience in teaching and research in the areas of Torts, Criminal Law and Procedure, Evidence, and Family Law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach law courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Conduct research and publish scholarly articles
- Advise students and mentor junior faculty members
- Participate in departmental and university service
Requirements:
- Hold a J.D. degree (or the equivalent)
- Have a record of academic excellence and substantial academic or practice experience
- Have a passion for teaching and a record of, or evidence of potential for, accomplishment in scholarship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching and research in the areas of Torts, Criminal Law and Procedure, Evidence, and Family Law
