About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at First Student, serving Portland Public Schools. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
  • Diagnose and repair issues with our fleet of vehicles
  • Assist with mobile emergency services as needed

We offer a competitive hourly wage of $34 per hour, plus ASE incentives and a comprehensive benefits package. Our technicians enjoy a Monday-Friday schedule, 8 am - 4:30 pm, with opportunities for growth and development through state-of-the-art training programs.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience working with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain a CDL (training provided)
  • Mechanic's tool set and ASE testing experience a plus
