Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide proficient perioperative patient care through the use of equipment and instrumentation.
  • Function as a scrub assistant to the physician performing operative and/or invasive procedures.
  • Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and as outlined in the Surgical Technologist Skills Inventory.
  • Use knowledge and expertise to act as a role model and resource for other staff.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support.
  • Current Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
Preferred Qualifications
  • New Grad.
  • Surg Tech I = 1 year.
  • Surg Tech II = 2-4 years.
  • Surg Tech III = 5+ years.
