About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible physician to join our team as a specialist in correctional healthcare. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients in custody. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping us achieve our goal of providing high-quality healthcare services to vulnerable populations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality medical care to patients in custody, including routine check-ups, sick call visits, and hospital returns.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that meet the individual needs of each patient, taking into account their medical history, current health status, and any relevant social or environmental factors.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive seamless, coordinated care across the continuum of services.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure that all parties are informed and involved in the care process.
Required Qualifications
  • Board certification or board eligibility in internal medicine, family medicine, or another primary care-oriented specialty.
  • At least three years of experience in a similar setting, preferably in a correctional health environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, regardless of the setting or circumstances.
