Job Summary:

The Registered Respiratory Therapist is a vital member of the healthcare team at Adirondack Health. This role requires a skilled professional to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care for patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' respiratory needs and develop individualized care plans
• Implement and monitor respiratory care therapies, including mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and bronchial hygiene
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Participate in on-call coverage and provide sleep study testing, EEGs, EKGs, PFTs, and ABGs as required

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Current registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care
• BLS/ACLS certification
• NYS license
• Ability to work on feet for extended periods and handle physically demanding tasks
