About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at ThedaCare. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care and education, utilizing various techniques and equipment to support patients with pulmonary diseases or conditions.

Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapist provides best practice respiratory care and education to patients, ensuring their needs are met while promoting quality standards established by ThedaCare and regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and develop individualized care plans for patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and patient outcomes.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established standards, guidelines, and policies, providing quality patient care.
  • Establish and communicate care plans for patients, applying critical thinking and knowledge to achieve optimal results.
  • Contribute to decreasing barriers, enhancing customer satisfaction, and reducing wastes and/or costs to support ThedaCare's safety, quality, and financial goals.
  • Collaborate with multiple disciplines to deliver exceptional patient experiences, families, and team members.
  • Work in urgent situations involving rapidly changing priorities to achieve high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation and charges using current technology.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree from an accredited respiratory care program.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification for healthcare providers.
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by respective role or facility.
  • Current State of Wisconsin License Respiratory Care Practitioner.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance.

Schedule

This role requires a flexible schedule, with 4 eight-hour shifts per week. Hours are between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with no weekends or holidays required.
