Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at Wellstar Health System. As a Care Partner, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse, focusing on promoting a positive patient experience and assisting with daily living activities and comfort measures.
  • Assist other healthcare providers with safe, age-appropriate, and culturally aware care by performing basic patient care functions, such as ADLs, ambulation, and vital signs.
  • Participate in hourly patient rounding, answer telephone and call lights promptly, and resolve patient concerns or escalate to the charge nurse if necessary.
  • Proactively offer assistance and comfort measures to patients and families, presenting yourself in a positive and professional manner.
  • Provide patient care needs, including hygiene, nutrition, elimination, and physical comfort measures, as well as additional advanced skills based on unit-specific requirements.
  • Assist RNs and other members of the healthcare team with care delivery as assigned, including direct patient admission and monitoring data entry for key patient safety information.
  • Participate in charge reconciliation, perform audits as requested, and transport unit supplies, patient care supplies, medications, and equipment as assigned.
Requirements
  • Rising Senior in Good Standing or GED
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Preferred: Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification or Patient Care Tech Program graduation
