As a key member of our integrated academic healthcare system, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of advancing healthcare through innovation and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with complex neurological conditions, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Conduct thorough patient interviews, document medical histories, and perform physical examinations to inform diagnosis and treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians to diagnose medical problems, develop care plans, and prescribe treatment, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Order and perform laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures, such as urinalyses, pregnancy and blood tests, and x-rays, to inform patient care.
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current licensure as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia and certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Minimum one year of direct experience in a high-acuity clinical specialty, with a strong background in neurology and patient care.
- BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required, with ACLS certification preferred.
