Job Title: Registered Nurse - Mental Health Specialist

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at McLean Hospital, a comprehensive psychiatric hospital committed to providing high-quality mental health services.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care and promote a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including accurate and timely documentation of patient information
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and maintain professional boundaries
  • Participate in patient rounds and teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Identify patient behaviors that contribute to crisis situations and utilize de-escalation techniques
  • Communicate changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse and follow established protocols
  • Perform Point of Care testing and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in planning and implementation of patient groups and activities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living and promote a clean and organized environment

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Massachusetts
  • Previous experience in direct patient care, preferably in a psychiatric setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
