Job Summary

UNC Health Care seeks a skilled Nurse Educator to join our team at the Center of Nursing Excellence. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in empowering patients with knowledge and support. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and implementing educational programs to enhance patient outcomes and care processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff, patients, and families
  • Conduct learning needs assessments to plan staff educational programs
  • Coordinate orientation, staff development, and continuing education for nursing staff
  • Develop evidence-based standards of care, comprehensive nursing plans, and clinical pathways for patients and families
  • Provide clinical supervision to staff in developing clinical knowledge, skills, and abilities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from a state-accredited school of professional nursing
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
  • Three (3) years of experience in tertiary care with two (2) years clinical experience in the assigned specialty
