Nurse Practitioner

Premise Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Centralized Staffing Pool team in Blacksburg and Dublin, VA. As a PRN Registered Nurse, you will provide nursing care to client employees and/or contractors and visitors to the health center.

• Evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain patient flow.
• Conduct nursing assessments, provide treatment within scope of practice, and collaborate with physicians as needed.
• Identify equipment needs and report to the lead clinician.
• Perform occupational and health screening tests, conduct laboratory tests, and maintain accurate medical records.
• Administer medications and medical treatments competently, maintain a clean and safe environment, and follow infection control procedures.
• Participate in follow-up phone calls and patient visits, and perform other duties as assigned.

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associates' degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in the state of practice required.
• Current hands-on training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for healthcare providers required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required.
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred.

• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or other ambulatory care clinic.
• Knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
• Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.
