Job Overview

Focused Staffing Group is partnering with a Delaware Charter School to find qualified candidates for the position of Floater Substitute Teacher. This role involves managing classrooms, communicating with students and staff, and teaching one or more subjects in an engaging and effective manner.

Compensation

Responsibilities
  • Teach subject material to assigned classes and create lesson plans tailored to individual students' needs.
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Prepare for classes, ensuring that all necessary materials are available.
  • Encourage students to set and maintain high standards of behavior, promoting a respectful and productive classroom culture.
  • Evaluate student progress regularly, reporting on their accomplishments and providing feedback when necessary.
  • Diagnose learning disabilities, collaborating with district specialists as required to support students' educational growth.
  • Take precautions to safeguard students, equipment, materials, and facilities, upholding the school's standards.
  • Keep accurate records of student progress, meeting legal and administrative requirements.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with colleagues and parents, working together to support students' success.

  • A Child Abuse Registry Check / Child Abuse Clearance.
  • A 2-Step TB Test.
  • A COVID Vaccination Card, if available.
