Job Summary

804 Technology is seeking a highly skilled NC Programmer to join our team. As a key member of our production engineering department, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining complex computer-aided design (CAD) models and 2D drawings for manufacturing process planning sequences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interrogate, analyze, comprehend, and interpret various engineering drawings, models, bills of materials, technical specifications, quality documents, and departmental procedures to perform assigned work.
  • Provide MCAD operational models and 2D drawings for manufacturing process planning sequences as required.
  • Provide process liaison support for manufacturing operations when MCAD models with 2D drawings exist as required.
  • Develop, create, and maintain tooling/fixture definitions for manufacturing operations for all media types, including MCAD and manual legacy designs.
  • Execute creation and maintenance of CAM programs and operator instructions for numerical controlled equipment.
  • Responsible for developing, creating, and maintaining loft MCAD models, flat patterns, and associated digital tooling programs.
  • Working knowledge of NC programming, loft, engineering, tool design, manufacturing, and planning processes and procedures.
  • Skilled in the concept related to the application of GD&T/aerospace tolerances.
  • Supports producibility assessments when requested.
  • Maintains records and schedules of work assigned.
  • Will meet established company cost control standards, schedule, and quality requirements to maintain market competitiveness.
  • Provide technical assistance to procurement and suppliers as determined by management.
  • Execute strong communication skills, both verbal and written, required to communicate and interact between internal and external customers.
  • Apply extensive aircraft manufacturing knowledge and be prepared to train, direct, instruct, mentor, and check/validate production engineering work.
  • Required to attend training and complete competency-based testing as required by management to remain current with technological advancements.
Requirements
  • Four (4) years of college or eight (8) years of experience in the aircraft industry.
  • Demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities related to the application of GD&T/aerospace tolerances.
