This role is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to clinic patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse or other Healthcare Provider. The successful candidate will assist providers with patient clinic visits, carry out routine aspects of designated nursing protocols, and provide clinical support and related assistance to professional medical staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for practitioner visits, including obtaining and recording vital signs and other relevant information.
- Perform or assist with patient care, diagnostic tests, and clinical procedures to the appropriate level of training and scope of licensure.
- Administer patient medications per written provider order and track and log medication usage.
- Document procedures and interactions in patient medical records and enter, pend, and sign orders as appropriate.
- Organize exam rooms, including cleaning, upkeep, and restocking of supplies, and prepare, clean, and sterilize instruments and maintain related equipment.
- Graduated from an accredited school of practical nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.
This role is based in a busy clinic setting and requires excellent communication and customer service skills. The successful candidate will work effectively in a team environment and be able to manage a demanding workload.
