This role is essential for diagnosing, servicing, and fixing all machinery and assets within the company while ensuring a secure working environment and complying with Tyson policies and procedures.


Responsibilities:

Refrigeration Technicians are tasked with conducting hourly assessments and recording the metrics for all ammonia systems, which include compressors, condensers, evaporators, re-circulators, and related piping and equipment. It is crucial to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately. Beyond ammonia systems, this individual will oversee Fork Lift preventative maintenance and repairs, along with any other assigned responsibilities. Daily inspections of equipment and mandatory checks multiple times throughout the day are required.

Regular visual inspections of all assigned equipment, both on the roof and within the facility, are necessary, with any ammonia-related issues reported to the supervisor. A comprehensive understanding of the facility layout, tools, parts, and equipment is expected. The technician must maintain and monitor refrigeration equipment in accordance with safety standards across the entire facility. Proficiency in math, reading, and writing is essential for effectively monitoring equipment and recording data. This position will involve working both indoors and outdoors as directed, with exposure to various weather conditions, wet surfaces, humidity, noise, and occasionally confined spaces.

Requirements:


Must be capable of working in extreme temperatures ranging from 118 degrees Fahrenheit outdoors to -10 degrees Fahrenheit inside freezers.

Must be able to lift weights up to 50 lbs.

Current enrollment in a Technical training program (with proof of enrollment) and one year of relevant work experience in a skilled field, or graduation from a technical college with certification and one year of verifiable work experience in maintenance repair or installations in a related field, or two years of maintenance-related experience is required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and mechanical skills is necessary.
Ability to perform preventative maintenance on building equipment is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Maintenance program is advantageous.

Additionally, the ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, etc., is preferred.
