We are seeking a highly skilled Instrument Operator II to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our surveying team, you will be responsible for operating complex surveying instruments and performing calculations related to their operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain a range of surveying instruments, including electronic total stations, electronic levels, GPS, and HDS equipment.
  • Perform survey calculations and compile field notes, sketches, and records of data obtained and work performed.
  • Supervise junior crew members and ensure the maintenance and safekeeping of field equipment and survey vehicles.
  • Assume responsibility for the maintenance, checking, and handling of surveying instruments.
  • Ensure that survey vehicles are equipped with adequate supplies and that equipment and supply storage areas are kept in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Set up and operate Global Positioning System (GPS) equipment.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Supervisor.
