Job Summary: Boston Children's Hospital seeks a highly skilled Surgical Services Coordinator to oversee daily clinical and administrative operations for designated specialty surgical services. As a key member of the healthcare team, this role involves planning, organizing, and implementing internal standards, policies, and procedures to enhance quality and cost-effectiveness of patient care and sterile processing.

In this critical position, you will actively participate in hospital, departmental, and multidisciplinary programs, committees, and special projects. You will provide support to Operating Room (OR) staff in preparing the OR suite for surgery by verifying the availability of instrument kits before case start times. Additionally, you will conduct daily audits of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data, including case cart audits, room visits, post-case cart audits, kit audits, and other identified items.

This role requires analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring clinical, scientific, or technical principles, theories, and concepts. You must have in-depth, cross-functional experience-based knowledge and effective communication skills to deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions. Your ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and all levels of hospital staff, including the Operating Room and physicians, is crucial.
