Job Description:

The Infrastructure Solutions Architect is responsible for researching, planning, and installing Enterprise Solutions that comprise networking or software technologies and supporting life safety systems that directly impact the public.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assesses existing network, software, and current solutions and makes recommendations based on product specifications and best cybersecurity practices.
  • Configures equipment and software to meet business needs, trains others on the solution, and documents the solution for ongoing support.
  • Provides technical support and assists with the design of Infrastructure solutions.
  • Responds to Tier 1 and 2 network and software support requests.
  • Communicates effectively with teammates and customers of varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Designs extensions of and connections to the campus network.
  • Assists with configuration and deployment of new/replacement network hardware and communications infrastructure.
  • Maintains up-to-date project and architecture documentation.
  • Maintains up-to-date inventory and maintenance records.
  • Monitors network resources for faults and traffic anomalies.
  • Resolves connection issues between users and resources.
  • Maintains detailed change history of network changes.
  • Supports ITS Field Maintenance with communications' implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Supports team efforts to improve cybersecurity controls and defenses.
  • Supports team efforts for threat hunting and mitigation.
  • Manages time and resource constraints.

Requirements:

  • Certifications and 4-year degree heavily preferred.
  • General Information Technology - Required - 10 Years.
  • Cisco Routing and Switching - Required - 5 Years.
  • VLAN Management - Required - 5 Years.
  • Network Design - Required - 2 Years.
  • Subnetting - Required - 5 Years.
  • Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, etc.) - Required - 4 Years.
  • Authentication (Radius, TACACS, etc.) - Required - 2 Years.
  • Firewall Administration - Required - 5 Years.
  • VPN & Remote Access Technologies - Required - 2 Years.
  • Network Security - Highly desired - 2 Years.
  • DNS/DHCP - Nice to have - 2 Years.
  • Network Monitoring - Nice to have - 2 Years.
  • Network Cable Management - Nice to have 2 Year.
  • FMC/Firepower - Nice to have - 2 Years.
  • Solutions Design build - Nice to have - 3 Year.
  • Integration Troubleshooting - Must have 2 Years.
  • Cybersecurity - Highly desired - 2 Years.
  • Software Integration's - Nice to have - 2 years.
